Child, teen & family support
Child & Teen Wellbeing Support SERVICE
Relationship-based, trauma-informed support for children, teenagers and families navigating anxiety, emotional distress, school difficulties and unmet needs.
FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS
1-1 and small group/online or in person- 1hr
Sometimes a child is anxious, overwhelmed, dysregulated, or simply not quite themselves, but their needs do not neatly fit into a CAHMS referral pathway, diagnosis or threshold for specialist support.
Families are often left knowing that something is not right, but unsure where to turn next.
Full Circle Child & Teen Wellbeing Support sessions are designed to offer early, relational support for children and young people who may be struggling with confidence, anxiety, school-related distress, emotional regulation, friendships or behaviour that feels difficult to understand.
All sessions are arranged by carer/parent/school
All sessions in person in Sussex or online if preferred
We advise a minimum of 6 weeks to help support your young adult through their difficulties. Consistency is key during these tricky times.
For PARENTS, carers & Families
1-1 and small group/online or in person- 1hr
Parents need support, too. Alongside child sessions, I also offer parent support sessions to help adults better understand what may be driving a child’s behaviour and how to respond with confidence and consistency.
Helping carers/families with:
Understanding a new diagnosis
Understanding how to support at school/advocating for your child
Helping when your child unmasks at home
Finding their direction as a teenager
Managing moods inside and outside school
Sessions are available in person in Sussex and, where appropriate, online or through parent consultation.
school-aware, trauma-informed approach
My work is rooted in a relationship-first, trauma-informed and SEND-aware approach. With many years of experience supporting children and young people in education, I understand how behaviour, anxiety, avoidance and emotional distress are often signs that a child is struggling - not simply “being difficult.”
I work in a practical and compassionate way to help children and young people:
understand and express their feelings more safely
build confidence and emotional awareness
develop strategies for regulation and coping
feel more understood at home and in school
begin to make sense of experiences that may be affecting their wellbeing
Where helpful, support can also include parent guidance so that adults feel more confident in understanding what may be driving a child’s behaviour and how best to respond.
Alongside Claudine, all wellness support practitioners are trained specialist teachers, therapeutic practitioners or Trauma informed mental health specialists. WE sometimes have trainees who are fully supervised ethically and are aligned with BACP and BPS guidelines.
Spend time with other dads and discuss issues such as your child's new diagnosis, what it means, how to navigate the emotions while trying to support and how to find an outlet.
Run by mental health professionals and specialist teachers of diagnosed children.
Meet other like-minded dads and find a support group that is rooted in the community.
